Dakar Series
"DAKAR SERIES" - ACT I
The "Dakar Series" has the authority to bring together, eventually, under the same label, several off-road rallies meeting the founding standards of organisation and sporting values. The A.S.O., organiser of the Dakar Rally, intends extending this concept to several competitions, which it aims at running over the long term. The Central Europe Rally, being held between 20 and 26 April, will be the first competition of the "Dakar Series".
Quality of Organization
A highly rich background standards organizing events of all kind like tennis, golf, sailing, horse-ridding, surf, beach-volley, and of course motorsports, is the guarantee of a well build race. Safety of competitors and public, different kind of terrains, good accommodation of teams e respect for the sporting rules are parameters of demanding witch J.L.S is used to match.
Promotion trough Media
The quality of the competition also guarantees strong media interest. The Legs of Dakar organized by J.L.S. in Portugal have taken to excitement thousands of spectators, in a Media circus difficult to match. Rallying is strong in images, so attracts large numbers of television viewers. Likewise, the press, radio and agencies, whether focusing on the drivers' experiences, or the fight to win the race, they are keen on covering events of each day of the competition. PAX RALLY 2008 will also capture this attention from public and Media, due to the names of drivers and teams that will be present, the spectacle of legs, and enthusiasm of spectators.
Presence of the Elite
PAX RALLY 2008 will have on is starting list the names of the most notorious competitors, between drivers and teams. The goal is to have in Portugal the biggest drivers and teams, that have contributed the most to the development of cross country rally.
